Big Sur, CA

A road trip up the California coast along the Pacific Coast Highway 1.

Breaking up the drive from San Clemente to Big Sur into stages, stopping to hit fun sights along the way, was a fun way to turn a 6-hour drive into what felt like a 1-hour walk in the park. Plus get to see a number of iconic California State landmarks along the way.

Horseback Riding the Big Sur coastline

It was fascinating riding a horse for the first time, how smart and capable these animals are. When you look into their eyes they see and feel your presence. We traversed a forest trail, riverbed, and sandy beach without a misstep - the horses know exactly what they’re doing crossing a rocky river.
